When clients enquire for Cases and Crates we are diligent to ask certain question that allow us to provide you with exactly what you require. We will further explain what we recommend from experience in dealing with the export of a wide range of products regardless of size. Below are packing options that we would highly recommend given the circumstance.
Polythene Blue Liner
Blue liner is used to protect your product from water whilst in transit. The cases can be lined internally and externally to help protect from exposure to rain splash whilst in transit. Depending on where you are exporting too and how (road, air or sea) we would always recommend blue liner. Once products are packed into cases, Woodlands also provides a service of packing those cases into containers. Cases are adequately stowed and blocked to prevent movement and damage in transit and is evenly distributed along the container/trailer to ensure even weight distribution with lighter cargo stowed above heavy goods.
Foil Bag, Vacuum & Desiccant Gel
When goods are travelling by sea freight there maybe the need to ensure protection from the sea air. When items are travelling long distances and have electrical components they can potentially suffer from corrosion. Therefore the addition of a foil bag which is sealed air tight is the perfect solution for export by sea. The inclusion of desiccant gel further induces a state of dryness within the case.
We can also provide a service that enables your product to be shrinked wrapped by polythene. Our shrink wrapping services offer an alternative and cheaper way to export by road or air. This type of packing is lower in cost because the product is then placed on top of the timber base. Once the blocking and strapping is complete we to safely secure the product we then shrink wrap and heat dry tightly against the product.
